Acquisitive environmental management organisation, Lucion Group, opens first combined Delta-Simons and Lucion Services office in Southampton

1 March 2022

As a leading professional environmental services provider, Lucion Group is projected to achieve a group revenue of over £50 million by financial year-end (31st March 2021). Since the acquisition of Delta-Simons in April 2021, our position as one of the industry leaders in hazardous materials and environmental management has gone from strength to strength. As a group, we have paid close attention to our market share in the South East as a significant growth area for both Delta-Simons and Lucion Services. In order to continue to effectively support our South East community and client portfolio in the region, we have taken the opportunity to open our first joint Delta-Simons and Lucion Services office.

Consideration for environmental impact, carbon footprint and our new approach to more flexible and hybrid working patterns, were key in the decision for the location, size and function of the office space we have selected.

Lucion Group’s Chief Executive Officer Phil Rozier commented on the latest office opening;

“The Southampton office is the Lucion Group’s first joint service point for the Delta-Simons and Lucion Services team. It represents a key moment for us as a business and solidifies our strategic expansion as a group in the Southern region.

 Whilst we continue to look at expanding our client base throughout the UK, ensuring we have a local presence for the benefit of our clients, our team and environment is part of our Environmental Social Governance (ESG) strategy. With this local base, we can reduce travel times for our teams, save on our travel related carbon emissions and provide a faster service to our client community. The new joint brand office will enable us to build upon our cohesive network and strengthen our service capabilities within the region.”

 In 2019, Southampton City Council announced that all its commercial buildings will be using 100% green electricity, removing nearly 7000 tonnes of Co2 from the environment naturally, supporting their mission to be carbon neutral by 2030. In line with our own mission, to protect people and the planet, the new Delta-Simons and Lucion Services, centrally located, the combined office will aim to utilise only green, renewable energy in the office.

Who will be representing Delta-Simons in the Southampton Office?

David Josling, Geo-Environmental Associate, will be representing the Delta-Simons services within the Southern-based office.

With over 17 years of experience in Geo-Environmental consultancy and a Masters in Environmental Engineering, David has significant knowledge in contaminated land, geotechnical testing, site investigation and environmental due diligence, as well as remediation strategies and validation reports.

David commented;

“For the past  17years, I have worked my way up starting out as a graduate engineer out on cold, wet, contaminated sites through to becoming a senior geo-environmental consultant managing a range of projects including supervising large earthworks in a colliery, quarry and large scale Ground Investigations along with providing support and advice to clients starting from initial due diligence stages of a project all the way through to the provision of support for planning applications, tender, remediation and validation of contaminated sites.

Joining forces with the Lucion Services team will provide us with ample opportunity to expand our current client portfolio and deliver multiple services seamlessly.”
