I began my career with Delta-Simons as a receptionist after working as cabin crew for many years. I've since moved into different roles throughout the business, including my current position as Group Facilities Coordinator. I really enjoy the variety of work within Lucion Group. It's great to interact with all of the different companies within the Group and it's been great to see the business grow.
I had already passed my P402 with the aim to become a dual trained operative when a trainee bid writer role was advertised internally. It really appealed to me as I’d be able to be more creative in my work while remaining in the industry. Each day I take on the role of organiser, investigator, planner, writer and evaluator. It’s a nice balance of working in a team while also having your own projects to lead on.
After a long career working in HR and finance in the military, I started at Lucion in 2013 working within the admin team, before moving into purchasing. As the company grew, my role developed into the purchasing, ordering and allocation of the Lucion fleet vehicles. Now I work across our Group of companies, coordinating our national fleet of 280 vehicles (and growing) in order to keep our teams safely on the move.
I joined Lucion the day after I graduated from University, back in 2010. My career path has grown with Lucion over the last 13 years. I started out doing some very basic marketing activities, before organising national events, then learning to write bids and set up a bids process for the company. Over time, I've been lucky enough to grow a hugely successful and high performing communications team.
